I have finished ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! ! !

IMG_4943

I have finally finished the  Red Beastie Top here it is in all its glory.

I am very surprised that it is sitting surprisingly flat. The next task is to make the back on Tuesday and start quilting it early next week. I am not sure how I am going to quilt it yet I will need  to think about it for a few days. Any suggestions would be welcome on how to quilt it would be appreciated. As I have been in my studio all day I must away to sit and talk to the family.

Happy stitching from Jeannette

  1. Wow!! It is absolutely gorgeous! I love it! Those are my favorite colors. So many little pieces in this top. You should be so proud. You finished the top pretty quick too! Too bad you live so far away. I won't get to see it in person.

  2. Wow........and Wow.......this is beautiful. I'm not sure how I would quilt this, lots of stitch in the ditch and ruler work? Look up some of the "pro's" quilts like Marilyn Badger and Rene Haddadin and Linda Taylor for some inspiration.

  6. Absolutely stunning! I would just take it to a longarm quilter who I trust and let them work their magic. But if you are going to quilt it yourself I am sure it will be beautiful. Your work is amazing!

  8. Oh WOW. That is amazing! Absolutely gorgeous. And you're hand quilting it? You're my hero.
Thanks for sharing it with us. It's been fun watching bits and pieces of it appear, and now a final quilt to look at.

  10. This is just gorgeous! Beautiful work! I am working on one now, that's how I found you luckily. Good thing, as I am enjoying reading through your blog.

I have a question for you, on the outer rings of the center, did you place them on the bias to cut them? I am trying to decide on whether to do this. It may stretch too far. The curved piecing wasn't bad....the circular freaks me out a little. Heh heh

Anyhow, congratulations on a wonderful job!
