New Start

Hi
It has been over a year since I last blogged, and life has been busy. I have worked full time in the last year, had my first granddaughter born and left work and purchased a Nolting longarm Quilting machine.  I hope to be able to take on freehand custom quilt projects for clients as I become more proficient. Over the last five years I have always used a computer guided Gammil of a friends and now am learning the new skills of how to guide the machine freehanded.  My consistent companion is the ever helpful Puck. In the last year Puck has had two lots of major surgery after she was hit by a car in July and now you would never know that she was on complete cage rest for 9 weeks. She certainly makes up for it now this morning the sum total of her prey is two locusts, and a mouse, so now it is time for a rest on the latest quilt on the machine. It is most likely not correct protocol but this is my quilt not a customers, and I will adjust the quilt before I restart quilting. Once I have finished quilting this quilt I will post photos of the progress.  Talk to you again soon

  1. Welcome back. Looking forward to seeing your progress with your Nolting. I am still trying to conquer mine and having trouble with the tension at the moment. I have a feline who also loves to sleep on the loaded quilt.
