A Good Week

Hi to everyone

I have had a good last few days, my little red car came home all fixed and I finished three quilts up to sewing the binding on by hand.

I am working thru a series of quilts for babies from a wall quilt, cot quilt and single bed size. As I make each of the three quilts they will be in different colour ways. The first finished series is brown and aqua.

The first quilt is my interpretations of Lynette Andersen's Noah's Ark block. I wish I had planned the quilt on graph paper before I started, as mid week I got bogged down trying to work out how to join all of the different sized blocks.

I plan to start another Noah's ark but I will enlarge the embroidered block before I start and plan the quilt on graph paper, and this larger quilt will be in the next colour range I want to play with.

The second finished quilt is a cot quilt using ric rac and charm squares and the third a single bed size quilt. The bed size quilt I machine quilted in grids at 1 1/2 inch intervals While the cot quilt was long arm machined quilted in rows to accentuate the design.

Would any body like to make a comment on what colours the second series of quilts will be in and a name suggestion. There may be a prize draw coming watch this space.
